BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Eric Savage serves as Founding Editor-in-Chief of LINK - The International Journal of Aviation Modeling & Simulation and VECTOR - The International Journal of Aviation Intelligence.  He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Flight in the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology at Purdue University's Polytechnic Institute.

Dr. Savage's academic leadership and professional background integrates flight instruction, aviation leadership, human factors, and flight simulation research.  His research interests focus on cognitive workload, aviation neuroergonomics, human performance in complex aviation systems, and the role of advanced simulation technologies in pilot training and decision-making.

Prior to his academic career, Dr. Savage worked in aviation and human factors-related environments where he developed a long-standing interest in how pilots interact with complex systems under conditions of workload and time pressure.  His current scholarly work explores the intersection of simulation fidelity, physiological measurement, and adaptive training environments in aviation.

Through his editorial leadership, Dr. Savage seeks to provide platforms that support interdisciplinary research and student scholarship in emerging areas of aviation intelligence, modeling, simulation, and human performance.
